Skype, the innovative giant in video communication, has now been acquired by software giant Microsoft for $8.5 billion. I think that this fusion can potentially be really cool and I’m not the only one who’s excited about what can do together – check out what Skype’s CEO (now president) Tony Bates has to say about this acquisition.

The breaking news of the day, Facebook’s new “homepage”. Users logging in as of this morning were presented with a rather different homepage than what they are accustomed to. A few like it, myself among that group, but the general opinion seems to be viciously opposed to the latest version of our beloved social network.

Do you know what happens when you add a KeyListener to JFrame to capture global keystrokes? Nothing. Much to my frustration, I discovered recently that KeyEvents are not bubbled up through the JComponent hierarchy by default. The only component that consumes the event is the one currently focused.
