As the semester progresses

Autumn days drifting away, to oh oh the Autumn niiii-iiiights

You know how things are, you can plot my blog density as a wave, with crests being at Christmas holiday and during the summer, and the troughs being during fall semester and winter semester…

First up, happy belated thanksgiving to all. I hope everyone enjoyed theirs; mine was good as usual. I always love the family gatherings, and the good cooking.

Now I finally get some slack – today was my group’s presentation in Computer Systems Security. We introduced modeling security requirements with UML and I would say that it went quite well.

Lastly, ORANGE BOX IS OUT!!!!!! However, I won’t be able to get mine until Friday:( I hear that Portal was disappointing; everyone who got theirs this morning finished it within a few hours. Oh well, at least it will be cool, if for only a short while. To be honest, I find that I’ve been cutting back on games recently. I don’t even play Quake 3 that much anymore. I don’t know why, perhaps I’m just bored playing the same stuff over and over,
perhaps I’m just waiting for the next big challenge, perhaps I’m outgrowing games???  *terrible thought*

I don’t think it’s the latter though; I still enjoy the experience when I DO play a good game. It’s most likely the case that I just want a more realistic challenge. Playing against AI is fun, but not the same as a human. I guess I’ll have to suck it up and venture online, even if it means that I’ll get my rear handed to me on a silver platter;-) Well, I certainly intend to give Team Fortress 2 a good run. Heavy Weapons Guy all the way:D (Or maybe the Scout…)
